Sooji Upma By Chef Zakir.

  • Ingredients
    Onion chopped 1
    Green chilies chopped 3 – 4
    Gram lentils boiled 25 gm
    White lentils boiled 25 gm
    Ghee 2 tbsp
    Mustard seeds 1 tbsp
    Cashew nuts chopped 25 gm
    Semolina 250 gm
    Salt to taste
    Water 1 – 1 ½ glass
  • Method
    • Heat 2 tbsp ghee in a wok, add 1 chopped onion and sauté till it is translucent.
    • Add 3 – 4 chopped green chilies, 1 tbsp mustard seeds, 25 gm chopped cashew nuts, 25 gm boiled gram lentils and 25 gm boiled white lentils, fry well till its color turn to golden brown.
    • Then add in 250 gm semolina and salt to taste. Fry well till its color is changed.
    • Add 1 – 1 ½ cup of water, mix well and cook on low flame till thickens.
    • Now dish it out and serve with chapatti.
