Hyderabadi Fried Fish By Chef Zakir.

  • Ingredients
    Fish fillet 300 gm
    Crushed cumin seeds 1 tsp
    Poppy seeds 1 tsp
    Fenugreek seeds crushed 1 tsp
    Sesame seeds 1 tbsp
    Onion chopped 1
    Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
    Turmeric ½ tsp
    Chili powder 1 tsp
    Coriander powder 1 tbsp
    Gram flour 2 tbsp
    Lemon juice 1 tbsp
    Salt to taste
    Oil for fry
  • Method
    • Dry roast 1 tsp cumin seeds, 1 tsp poppy seeds, 1 tsp crushed fenugreek seeds and 1 tsp sesame seeds. Now grind the roasted seeds finely and remove in a bowl.
    • Heat a little oil in the same pan, add in 1 chopped onion and sauté for a while.
    • In a bowl marinate fish fillets with ground seeds mixture, sauté onion, 1 tbsp ginger paste, ½ tsp turmeric, 1 tsp chili powder, 1 tbsp coriander powder, 1 tbsp lemon juice, salt to taste and 2 tbsp gram flour.
    • Also add 1 – 2 tbsp water if needed.
    • Heat a little oil in a frying pan, shallow fry the marinated fish till golden brown.
    • Dish it out, serve hot.
