Shrikand Dry Nut By Chef Zakir.

  • Shrikand Dry Nut.
  • Ingredients
    Thick yogurt ½ kg
    Saffron 1 small packet
    Warm water 2 tbsp
    Caster sugar 100 gm
    Almond ground 25 gm
    Cardamom powder ¼ tsp
    Nutmeg powder a pinch
    Fresh cream 100 gm
  • Method
    • Pour ½ kg yogurt in a muslin cloth, make it into bag and hang.
    • Dissolve 1 small packet of saffron into lukewarm water. Finely grind 25 gm almonds.
    • When all the excess water is squeeze out from yogurt, remove it in a bowl.
    • Add 100 gm fresh cream, 100 gm caster sugar, saffron mixture, ground almonds, ¼ tsp cardamom powder and a pinch of ground nutmeg. Mix very well.
    • Now remove in a serving bowl or individual bowls. Keep in refrigerator till firm.
    • Garnish with chopped almond and serve chilled.
