Bengali Bhuni Machli By Chef Zakir.

  • Ingredients
    Fish (sliced) ½ kg
    Onion 1
    Oil 3 tbsp
    All spice powder 1 tsp
    Green chilies 2 – 3
    Ginger 1 medium piece
    Yogurt 250 gm
    Salt to taste
    Sugar 1 tsp
    Coriander leaves chopped 2 tbsp
  • Method
    • Heat 3 tbsp oil in a wok, add 1 chopped onion and sauté till tender.
    • Now add 2 – 3 chopped green chilies, 1 medium piece of chopped ginger and 1 tsp all spice powder. Fry for 1 – 2 minutes.
    • Add 250 gm yogurt and salt to taste. Cook till sauce thickens.
    • Then add in ½ kg fish pieces, cook for a few minutes from one side, now flip and cook the other side.
    • Lastly add 1 tsp sugar, salt to taste and 2 tbsp coriander leaves. Mix well and dish it out. Serve hot.
